Immortality and the contiuance of free will
Are there any views of heaven where its inhabitants will continue to have free will?

Goodie Goodie Goodie
My view: Everyone will have free will. However, during our ascent, we will be “godified. By godified I mean that we will all become so pure of heart we would never think of raping, robbing or killing anyone; not even of insulting anyone. We would all get along in heaven like…Hmmm, I can’t even think of an earthly analogy.
We will all be able to do want we WANT to do, but all we would ever WANT to do are good things. Millions and Billions and Trillions of years of being and doing GOOD. |

This seems to be more of a General Religious Discussion than a consideration of Biblical Criticism & History...swoosh!

Unable to sin, because we will know in full what it means to sin.

If we're unable to sin, we don't have free will. Period. Another snag in the heaven concept.

The consensus in this forum seems to be that we go to heaven because of our free will and we will lose that quality when we get there.
So the question now seems to be, why was there ever any free will? It seems it would have been a lot less messy just to have humans go directly to heaven. Obviously I'm missing something here. |
