Why would you think that a Christian girl would let a guy into her pants if he claimed he was an ex-Christian? For that matter, why would a Christian girl put out for a guy who claimed he was actually a Christian? You've got some serious dysfunctional issues going here, along with what appears to be an unhealthy disrespect for Christian women.

He likes Paul. Of course he holds women in contempt.

He's not allowed to love his family also? Let me guess. You were one of those kids who got mad if your "friends" had other friends too?

What the atheists have figured out is that, if the Bible is not true, then they should eat, drink, and be merry. That is why atheists love themselves and why it is irrelevant whether they love their families.
Ok, so you think that atheists have no morality, and cannot have any. Yet christians at least have the bible. Is that right?

1) According to Jesus, in order to be a follower of His, one must hate one's parents, spouse, children, and self.
2) In Genesis, after the Flood, Noah grew grapes, made wine, got drunk, partied naked, and passed out. (A standard Friday night at Phi Kappa Sigma.) When he woke with a major hangover, he condemned his grandson and all future descendents in that line to slavery, because his grandson's father covered Noah up while he was naked.
3) In Genesis, Lot offered his daughters to be raped by an unruly crowd of villagers in the town of Sodom, so that the crowd would leave his male houseguests alone. God somehow figured Lot and his family were the only ones morally worthy of being spared a shitstorm of fire and brimstone. After Lot's wife was killed for looking back at the shitstorm (by being turned into a pillar of salt), Lot's daughters got him drunk, had sex with their father, and produce hybrid son/brother children, who grew up to become leaders of nations.
4) In Deuteronomy, stubborn or rebellious children are to be turned over to the elders of the city, who will stone the children to death.
5) Proverbs 23 contains the verse which essentially says to beat children up to, but not including, the point of death, in order to purge evil.

You should be grateful to have such a wonderful moral guide to follow. :rolling:

There is no "if" about the Bible not being true. It contains so many errors and contradictions that it can't be true if considered as a whole. Of course there will be elements of truth within it but if the Biblical God did turn out to be in all actuality the real God, boy is he a fucked-up piece of shit. No chance of anyone in their right mind worshipping that.
I believe that Rhutchin may have given up the option of thinking about anything, at some point. He is hands down, the wackiest fundy on this board. So wacky, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he considers himself the ONLY christian on the board. Period. Ignorant generalisations, are his bread and butter. I'm beginning to wonder why I bother debating him. Why any of us do. Obviously, it's for the lurkers. None of us are going to save Rhutchin from his own brainwashing.

You do not have to judge; let the Bible call them a liar. An ex-Christian is nothing more than a person who says that he was a Christian. People can say many things and anything, not all of them true.
I don't recall what Delias comment was. I'm claiming to be an ex-christian, because...... I'm an ex-christian. Wow, go figure.... Calling me a liar, because the reality of my life doesn't match up to your chosen myth, doesn't change the facts. Every time I see you claiming to know me better than I know myself, I'm going to call you on it. Isn't that annoying?

You're a good person, if you can feel sorry for someone who holds you in utter contempt.

You mean that YOU don't know what I'M thinking? That's a HUGE admission, coming from you. Do you now admit that you don't know my life story?

I can see that list of things to pray for protection from, getting pretty long. How would you have time to do ANYTHING but pray?

Dear lord, please pretect me from missing limbs, cancer, heart attack, thrombosis, angina, shingles, sinful women, avian flu, near sighted bus drivers, common sense, meteors, lightning bolts, rabid wombats, congenital heart defects, spontaneous combustion, meningitis, ............................ random street gang violence, acts of god, structural defects in my roof, flesh eating bacteria........ oh, and please protect my mother also from missing limbs, cancer... oh wait, I hate her. Never mind on the last part lord. In jebus name, amen. Oh darn. Time to get up for work.

No, it isn't. I said "I cannot be a Christian because I love my family and myself."
In fact, I put my love of family ahead of my love for myself. Self-hatred is nothing to be proud of.

This is another one of those dysfunctional Christian family values, right? One must hate oneself above all things; then and only then can one hate one's family in order to be a Christian?

To be honest, that bizarre idea explains a lot. I presume you don't hate yourself since you are no longer a Christian - that'd be a step in the right direction.

Actually, I haven't read ahead, but I'll confidently guess that rhutchin won't go near answering this question. If he answers yes, he's not a Christian (well, he's there anyway), and if he answers no, he's got a rather serious dysfunctional side. For that reason, few Christians will touch that with a ten-foot pole.
