Default God claims that he created evil

OK, so I spun the title, but not by that much...
I QUOTE FROM THE HOLIEST TEXT:

Here we have Moses who says to God, "gee God, I can't go talk to the Pharoah, I..I...I'm a li...li..um..little bit slurg..slerg...sluggish with me tongue." And God replies, "I made you that way."

OK, so if God caused all the calamities in human bodies, and now that we know that crime has something to do with the brain's function, not only did God pull a cruel and spiteful prank on all the disabled people, but also is indirectly responsible for crime. I will no longer (not that I have recently anyway) worship an evil God. Down with God!

The title is not spun, it's just from a different verse:

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things

See there! God is evil! Christians hate America and want everyone to do evil! See, I told you!

This kind of stuff is pretty well known around here, so I suspect you won't get much of a reaction. If this sort of thing interests you, you might like Dennis McKinsey's Biblical Errancy..

yeah, I know. But I'm bored, so I hoped I could get some Christian attention to their obvious retarded...er...I mean hypocritical beliefs. This post was actually inspired by the Lucifer thread (how could Satan be cast out of heaven if heaven is perfect?). I didn't want to hijack the thread, so I went here instead.

You have God and Lord God mixed up. God is love and Lord God is trouble if you don't abide in him! So don't blame God for any calamities that come our way and since the qualities of Lord God are procreated in us by our own forebearors there is not much for us to bitch about when things go wrong in our life. This would be a consequence of the sins of our fathers and also the benefits of their virtues.

I don't think you can quite consider blindness or deafness to be "evil".

Slight error in your use of this verse. Evil refers to calamity, not moral evil that we think of when we hear the word evil.

Oh, so human beings CREATED evil? That would mean we can create something that God can't. (Same goes for if you blame Satan.)

The many (if not most?) Jews don't seem to have a problem with God creating evil. They say that he made evil and good so that humans could choose one or the other.

However, deliberately causing blindness or deafness in someone *is* an appalling thing to do, and that's precisely what the verse is referring to.
