Default Jesus's body (idea from Jesus existence)

Dumb question

(presupposing a few xian ideas for the hypothetical question):

Where is Jesus's body?

Obviously not on earth.

Is it in heaven?

If yes, then heaven is locatable dimensionally.

Where is heaven?

What is the body doing these days, seeing that God is back in his heaven, well, a third of God is back with the rest of himself -- if you know what I mean--, and there's no need for the body (well is there?)? Is it on ice or something? (I guess that "something" could contain the notion that the ways of God are a mystery to us mere mortals.)

Jesus is in Heaven in His ressurected body ( not His mortal body).

That does beg the question, though. The tomb was empty, right? Where did Jesus' mortal body go?

There are also other accounts in the Bible and in Church traditions of other individuals being taken bodily (corporeally) into heaven. Elijah and Mary come to mind, for example. What's the deal with them?

Is the ressurected body different from the mortal body?

Magus (or someone else) will correct me if I'm wrong, but from my catechism, I seem to remember that the resurrected body is "glorified and perfected" and suffers none of the defects of the physical. It is not corporeal, in the sense of the physical, but I don't recall that it's necessarily immaterial, either, but that might be a matter of interpretation.

Short answer: yes.

Jesus' mortal body was made His ressurected body. God restored His mortal body to immortality, and transformed it to perfect ( although Jesus retained the signs of His wounds as a reminder to the world of His sacrifice).

Elijah went to Heaven bodily yes ( afaik that is, Haven't studied Eiljah that much - but as I understand it, He will be part of Revelation and will eventually die. ) Mary was never assumed into Heaven in her body. That is a Catholic heresy made up by the Pope so He can continue to worship her as a goddess. There is absolutely no Biblical support for Mary's assumption.

Yes you are correct. He is in a physical body, but its in a glorified and unperishable state.

Ack--I need to clarify the question. Is the resurrected body the mortal body transformed, or is it a seperate entity altogether? And if it's the latter, how does that work?

His followers ate it, like he commanded them to.

But where is heaven? We surely haven't seen it in this universe. So is it outsite this universe?

BTW, since, thanks to Einstein, we know that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, Jesus' body can be no farther than just under 2000 light years from earth.

Yes, the ressurected body is the same body. Read the link I posted above, it explains it.
