Crurifragium as crucifixion coup de grace
I've been looking into this issue, but haven't been able to find much in the way of sources (primary or secondary). Do you guys know of anything apart from Harrison's "Cicero and 'Crurifragium'" in The Classical Quarterly?
Any help would be appreciated. |

Studia Antiqua, a student jounal from BYU, has an article on "Crucifixion in the Roman World: the use of Nails at the time of Christ," by John C. Robinson.
There is also an article on a shroud site: Medical aspects of crucifixion. Warning - not for the squeamish. |
