Hate to break the news to you, but theists do not own the language, including common expressions that refer to deities. I have no problem using these expressions. I celebrate the secular version of Christmas too. (ooooh, spooky hypocrisy music playing in the background).

You said "Good Lord"

And yes, you're correct. I stated Ezekiel by mistake. That is my error.
Actually what he said was "Good lord".

Little "l".

YOU capitalized it and assumed he meant YOUR Lord.

People who lack anything real to say are the ones who stoop to playing "gotcha'. That is funny that in his haste he didnt notice that he didnt really getcha.

People look at me funny if I say something like "holy mother of god!!" in the lab. Dunno what they are expecting me to say, but I guess that doesnt seem like it fits me.

A fun underhanded 'gotcha' would be to yank the chain of theists and use these types of expressions intentionally just to see who will bite.....not that I know anyone who would do such a thing.

Happens all the time in history during major droughts. This "interpretation" is like "wars and rumors of wars". Gee, Jesus, could you be a bit more specific.

You are proving his point. Atlantic did not prove an unsurmountable obstacle for the 911 terrorists, why should Euphrates be a problem to anyone?

You don't even need missles. Airplanes obviously don't care about rivers and you can even transport mechanized infantry and armoured units by means of pontoon bridges etc.

When you quote someone, it should be accurate, otherwise don't use quotation marks.

The second part is whether you were kidding (or were you bearing false witness?) when you accused Spam of taking the lord's name in vain.
