It's not clear to me at this point that the N.T. Wrong blog actually comes out of Durham, NC. It may just be a literary conceit to contrast with N.T. Wright's being the bishop of Durham, UK.

NT Wright actually lives in a Palace in Bishop Auckland, which is in County Durham. Unlike pervious Bishops of Durham, he is no longer allowed to have his own currency and private army.

I live in Durham, in the UK. In Carrville, which I think suits my ego. Not many people live in places with their own name.
