Default Attis - what was he thinking?

As we know, the Phygian god Attis was unfaithful to the Great Mother, Cybele. She drove him mad. So he sat under a tree and castrated himself.

So, imagine Attis, afterwards, sitting under the tree. What do YOU think he was thinking?

"Yes, I know it's a bit drastic. But if I want to remain a merchant banker, with all these redundancies going on, going trans-gender was my only chance. Zeus will now be far too scared to sack me."

OR:

"At least I've still got my bus-pass."

OR:

"If I'd got medical insurance, maybe I wouldn't have had to do this myself."

Your suggestions please...

"Don't mess with a goddess"

Mad people don't think: they just cut their balls off and watch the rivulets of blood flow.

By the way, "afterwards" means what? Days after castrating himself or just after cutting himself. If it is days after the act, he would probably think:

"If only I had my balls, I would probably be scratching them now"
Or,
"Where did I throw them?"

I was presuming just after, but I'm more than willing to hear more Attis jokes.

"Balls to Cybele, anyway"
