Default a sanhedrein's perspective

sticking to the biblical text... especially Mathew, what would you say/think about Jesus if you were a sanhedrine?
aparently if you go out of the text and into the historic period, the sanhedrine was trying to please the romans because the other jewish people werent happy and they didnt want Jesus' followers to revolt and bla bla bla but pretend that that's not there. what would you do? feel? how would jesus' preachings make you feel? would you believe?
