And you won't find one in the bible either - which is why fundies try to shoe-horn different kings into the historical record, switch empires and conquerors, and refuse to commit themselves to a particular interpretation.

Exactly what critics do to try and disprove them. But Israel most certainly will not allow that.

It isn't the critics who are trying to trade Nebuchadnezzar for Alexander, and pretending that Greek and Roman empires are separate, except when they need them to be the same.

No, that would be the fundies doing those gymnastics.

Israel has nothing to do with it - except to stand as another example of failed prophecy.

I'm not aware of any such prophecies in bible. Which particular Kings and Kingdoms were foretold thousands of years in advance?

Bible prophecy always fails to meet the necessary criteria.

Prophecy Criterea:
  • The prophecy must be clear and unambiguous
  • The event must be a fulfillment of the prediction
  • The event must have actually happened
  • The prophecy must have happened before the event
  • The event must not have been artificially created
  • The prophecy must not have been a logical guess

Another important thing is specific dates, otherwise procrastination is inevitable. Bible prophecy interpretation is usually (conveniently, I should add) impossible before event due to vagueness.

Critics don't have to try to disprove them. If you say a prophecy was fulfilled, you have to prove you're right. Until you to do, it's reasonable for us to think you're wrong.

but lets also address the stupidity of being able to actually talk abouty if a fucking prohpecy was fulfilled or not

at least as far as for the nature of any prophecy i have read about.

maybe if a guy forsaw me typing this 100 years ago and wrote down "on infidels.org the poster burning flames will say the following things" then yeah

Prophecy proves the Bible...that God reigns in the heavens.

How can that be, when the prophecies have all failed?
