Hey, did you know that The Name Jesus = 666? Sure it does. All you have to do is take the numerical value of the letters in His name and add them together (10 + 5 + 19 + 21 + 19), in which case you get 74 which, when multiplied by 9, you get 666!

Hmm, what could it possibly mean?

It's the last digit in the decimal system for one thing. Also, you get a very interesting pattern when adding in multiples of 9, suggesting a sort of symmetry of opposites ...

I always thought that the #666's signifigance would only be made clear when the apocoypse comes? Or did I miss something?

The trick with the nines is clever, but unconvincing as a means of identifying the beast.

Actually it tends to confirm what I've already been told about The Reformation, that it's signified by the Great Red Dragon, the Beast out of the Sea and the False Prophet in Revelation 12-13. And, that in effect the Apocalypse had occurred almost 250 years ago. Also, since the number 666 is derived from the English spelling of Jesus (and most Western European languages I believe?), it seems fitting that The Reformation should take root and become established in Great Britain. In which case it would seem to be as you say.

While another juicy tidbit here, is why do we call them Wasps or, White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestants?

So, if in fact these creatures were like locusts, what other creature would come even remotely close -- with stings in their tails and nasty bites -- than wasps? Ever see a yellow jackets nest come up out of the ground? In fact this is what happened when my roommate poured his ashes out from his woodstove in the backyard. Remind you of anything like a furnace?
