Hey, the King James version was good enough for St. Paul, so it's good enough for Billy Joel!
I wonder how Billy would react after reading something like "Misquoting Jesus", where the author (an expert) states that "the King James version is filled with places in which the translators rendered a Greek text derived ultimately from Erasmus's edition, which was based on a single twelfth-century manuscript that is one of the worst of the manuscripts that we now have available to us!" On behalf of Satan and all his minions, I'd just like to clarfiy that the Dark Lord is only responsible for the American Standard Translation of the Bible. While the New International Version is a Cathar heresy, it was produced by an independent agency, as were the various other less popular translations, and neither Satan nor any of his affiliates were in any way involved and take no responsibility for the translations in those texts.
