My counter-apologist blog
I have created a blog of my own for countering apologists.
Counterapologetics.blogspot.com I'd greatly appreciate the following: How well-written are my articles? How is the design? What was your first impression? What do I need to improve on? How are my arguments? Will you want to read my material again? Thanks! |

Some feedback:
Design and layout: Not so good, I'm afraid. There are large gaps between paragraphs, and it is quite difficult to read. Content: I'm not sure if "Counter apologetics" is the main theme here. If it were, you might be better to concentrate on known apologists or even more on CARM articles (like the one you critiqued on the Copyist Error Defence) Your arguments: No real problem as far as they go. But I think they would be enhanced by improving readability and design. Will I read your website again? No, but unless your arguments are directed towards well-known or respected apologists, then I'm not going to be interested I'm afraid (note that I'm a Christian, so I may also be scared of your arguments!) For me, calling your website "Counter apologetics" is misleading. "Counter Theism" or "Counter Fundamentalism" probably works better. But one thing you need to do to improve the credibility of your site is the quotes section. I checked your "dumbest quotes" section, and when I see unattributed quotes, rightly or wrongly it signals to me someone who hasn't done their homework. Specifically your quote here: Cardinal Bellarino (Galileo's Trial): "To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin."Firstly, it is "Bellarmine". Secondly, he never said that. I suggest you have clipped this from some other site without checking the source. It's the sort of thing that bad apologists do, so you leave yourself open if you do the same. Too many crap quotes floating around the Internet already so it is worth not propagating the same. |

The design is okay, but a little bland. I prefer a smaller type, and a font other than Times Roman. Adding a few graphics makes a blog more interesting. This is badly written: Quote:
Did you mean to say "I am giving you all a list of .." because it seems that you are. The second sentence is run on, and is missing the subject of "have come to the conclusion" - and then the subject and verb do not agree in "the apologists has to be correct." I don't want to spend more time, but you need to do more rewriting, or find an editorial consultant. If you want to make your blog more useful, realize that more people will skim it than read it in depth. Condense your writing, highlight important concepts. |

Thanks for your feedback!
@GakuseiDon I agree. I may change the domain to "Counter Theism" than counter apologetics. I am going to focus more on countering CARM's article in upcoming weeks. I will make e space between paragraphs a bit smaller. @Toto I will add some graphics and altar that sentence! Thanks a lot! |

GDon thinks that quote is bogus. I can't find a decent source for it.
PositiveAtheism's list of quotations says that Quote:

Good idea. I will probably remove it. Anyways, I can replace it with Biblical geocentric quotes. |

Thank you for the clarification. The Jesus stereotyped in children's stories never existed. |
