BTW, Cyrus was called messiah in Isaiah because he openly helped the Jews; why did Josephus paint Vespasian in messianic colors? Ben. |

Josephus wrote about the prophecies as written in Daniel and made no mention whatsoever of Jesus of Nazareth. Based on Josephus there were no tradtion at all for any person called Jesus who would rise from the dead and ascend to heaven and be called the son of the God of the Jews. AJ 18.3.3 and 20.9.1 are either forgeries or errors. Those passages do not reflect in any WAY Josephus commentaries on the books of the prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, and Micah. Josephus made no mention of Isaiah 7.14 at all with to respect to any named Jesus of NAZARETH who would be born of a virgin. Josephus writings shows NO tradition at all for Jesus of Nazareth. |

I am at a loss. If Jesus never existed, how it is he had two or three disciples? |

He claimed Jesus never existed but there were two or three disciples. Jesus in the NT had 12 disciples and many thousands of followers. Now, who chose these two or three disciples of the non-existent Jesus? I am still at a loss. |

It is my position that "Paul" was a fictitious character fabricated to distort the true history of Jesus believers.
It can be easily seen that the conversion of Saul/Paul as written in Acts 9 is fiction. It can be easily seen that the baptism of the Holy Ghost as written in Acts 2 is fiction, yet Paul claimed to have received the gifts of the Holy Ghost in 1 Corinthians. But there is a major problem for Paul, the story of the baptism of the Holy Ghost in Act 2 was written after Paul was dead in around 66 CE. The author called Paul was alive after Acts of the Apostles was written maybe as late as the middle of the 2nd century. The author called Paul was then alive after gLuke was written, as this can now be shown. At the Last Supper, the author of gLuke used a phrases found ONLY in Luke and these are found in Luke 22.19-20 Quote:
1 Corinthians 23-24 Quote:
The author called Paul was alive after gLuke was written. |

a5874, how are you writing these words? You can't possibly exist!
I don't know you but it's a good bet that your great-great-great-great grandfather, and everybody else in that generation in your family are not mentioned in any contemporary records and therefore do not exist in the historical record... But if they were not mentioned, how else could you possibly know that they existed? |
