Well, I have NOT dated the Pauline writings before the Fall of the Temple. The Pauline writings [P 46] were DATED by Paleography to the mid 2nd-3rd century so nothing has changed.

My position is still very good based on Paleography. The Pauline writings are AFTER the writings of Justin Martyr c 150 CE.

People who claim that the Pauline writings were BEFORE the Fall of the Temple have nothing but their imagination and unreliable historical sources.

Yes I know that. I guess jewish scribes in Greek are not called rabbis either.
I am referring to the use of the term in English versions of the gospels.

Paul never refers to Jesus as rabbi, so that doesn't apply here.

The term in Greek is ῥαββί = "r'abbi"

See http://concordances.org/greek/rabbi_4461.htm

Er, what do you know? A rabbi is not a scribe in any language.

Of more interest is the novel expression 'Jesus' household language' and the interest of the Vatican in this notion.

Nice and soft as the cloak of Peter who deserves the most, and I think they started knitting it long before they put it on him too. Because you know what? the opposition kept poking holes in it that they had to mend to make it Infallible as they say.

A groundless hypothesis that allows off the hook people foolish enough to call themselves 'rabbi' today.
