Default Leningrad Firkovich collection to go online?

Quote:
Aside from the sheer quantity and quality of the manuscripts, what makes the arrival of these microfilms at the library so important is that they are now available for the first time to Western scholars. As the thousands of distinct works that these microfilms contain are identified, they will be available on the online catalogues of JNUL and JTS. This collection significantly augments the volume of new material for Jewish studies in the twenty-first century, which promises to be a period of discovery as prodigious as the twentieth.

I seem to have a problem posting hyperlinks in the usual way. Anyone else notice this?

I'm not sure what you mean but you might want to start a Bug thread on it. I changed your link back to the "usual way" (url and /url) and it seems to work.

Apparently according to hershel shanks in The Dead Sea Scrolls After Forty Years

Quote:
"On some of them, the Masoretic notations are quite primitive, so that (we) may be able to rewrite the history of the development of the Masorah, and the Masoretic contributions to the text. . . " (p.72)
