Your primary problem is that you appear to have very little knowledge of Greek/Roman Mythology. 1800 years ago, the Greeks and Romans BELIEVED in Mythological Gods Born of a Virgin.

If Jesus was NOT a Mythological God then there would have been NO Jesus cult of Christians

The Jesus character MUST be a GOD, MUST Perform like a GOD or else he will be REJECTED by the Greeks and Romans.

Justin's Dialogue with Trypho
Quote:
Moreover, in the fables of those who are called Greeks, it is written that Perseus was begotten of Danae, who was a virgin..
Please, you don't seem to understand that the Jesus story was BELIEVED by the Greeks and the Romans the very people who accepted Mythological Gods.

Please, just go and get familiar with Greek/Roman Mythology.

Sorry, but I don't see the Jews accepting a Jesus myth without evidence because of how close it jives with Greek and Roman polytheistic theology. The Jews had rejected the gods of Egypt and Greece for almost a thousand years by that point.

Now whether or not the OT prophecy of Jesus is based on Greek myth is a totally different topic.

The JEWS NEVER accepted the Jesus story.

The Jews rejected the Myth FABLES called Gospels.

Again, you display a massive lack of knowledge of NOT only Greek/Roman Mythology but also Jewish History of the 1st century.

Please, even supposed 2nd century Christians Admitted that the Jews argued that no person called Jesus the Christ had ever come or was known.

Up to the mid 2nd century, the Jews did NOT know anything about Jesus called Christ.

I have no clue what you are trying to say... Let's start here:

1. Give me a 10-15 year period when the myth began.
2. Give me the area of the world where it was created.
3. Give me the groups of people who were deceived and converted.
4. Give me the earliest credible source for Jesus and Christians, in your opinion.
5. Do not give me insults or tangents.

Do I really have to go through this? You are really going to compare Snow White to Jesus? First of all, do you really consider Snow White a historical figure? Because if you don't, your last line is superfluous and doesn't move the debate one way or the other. But more importantly, whether or not Snow White is based on a real person is unimportant to almost any degree.

So , being unable to explain who invented Snow White and why, you simply claim that the rule you yourself invented is not a good rule.

More double-standards!

Let me see if I have got this straight.

Before you accept that someone is a myth, you demand to be told who invented that person and why. This is a cast-iron rule that mythicists must answer.

Except when you can't say who invented a person and why, in which case you feel that you can say who is a myth and who isn't , without bothering with your 'rule', and people who ask for 'who invented her and why' are just stupid.

PJLazy demands to see all the transitional fossils before he will accept that evolution took place - every single step in the chain.

Where are the missing links? The cry of denialists everywhere.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, people will happily accept that Snow White is a myth without PJLazy's bizarre claim that every step of a myth must be documented before he will accept anything as a myth.

So his claims to see all the documentation can be ignored as the views of a crank, as the real world does not work the way PJLazy thinks it does.

Creationists also don't hold their breath waiting for evolutionists to produce every single transitional fossil in the development from fish to man.

They know that ain't going to happen, so they can always rebut claims that evolution took place.

Same with historicists. Show us all the steps in the development of the myth, they cry smugly.

Well, it ain't going to happen.

After all, we all know that Christianity took off because people started to think that a crucified criminal was the agent through whom God created the universe - a bit like people starting to believe that Lee Harvey Oswald had been the True President of the United States. Mythicists can't compete with such a straightforward, clear explanation of the origin of Christianity that anybody can see is quite reasonable.

As I said, Don't hold your breath.

As even the simplest inquiry can be dodged by either side until Hell freezes over.
The know nothings of either side only know that their own opinions are right.

I went down to Hell this afternoon, and looked the place over. It wasn't frozen over yet, but after seeing it with my own eyes, I decided that I'd rather live up here.

I gave you a very long response which you completely glossed over. If you think Jesus was a myth, buck up and show your cards. Otherwise, don't start flooding the thread with silly straw man arguments about the historicity of something no one cares about. I've already explained why Snow White and Jesus are in no way compatible.
