Even very critical scholars don't believe there is no history to the Bible. Get a clue man. The 100% myth theory is a silly construct of nihilists and fringe weirdoes.

I'm not going to listen to an unidentified audio file, especially at work. Can you identify the speaker and his or her credentials?
And yes, there are critical scholars who are not "nihilists or fringe weirdos" who think that there is no history to the Bible, or at least very little. |

I mean c'mon folks, there is absolutely NO HISTORY in Kings, Judges, Ezra, or Maccabees? Not one single sentence that is historical? And the account of the Assyrian invasion, which is corroborated (with admittedly different spins on the events) by Assyrian texts? Both cultures apparently concocted the same fictional event? Or wait, even better, one of them copied it from the other one? Yes, that must be it. Anyone who thinks that the entire Bible is 100% myth is either misled, not very well read, or just plain ignorant. But by all means, those of you who are fundamentalist skeptics listen to the audio clip and be amazed! Wow, the Bible is all MYTH…who knew? Get a grip folks and start tuning into Sanity FM. |
