Default ashra kwesi - african history vs biblical myths

just wached this dvd by ashra kwesi.

its very interesting, he thinks that the old testament stories are largely copied from ancient egypt.

I think the similarities between ancient kemet stories and the bible stories are definitely interesting.

But I dont know where he credits knowing that the stuff was really directly copied. it makes a LOT of sense and its not by any means a crazy assumption.

infact one point, the wisdom of king solomon vs the sayings of pharoah amen em ope is pretty clear it looks exactly like the sayings were copied.

the other stuff is questionable.

I was wondering if anyoner has seen the dvd...

or knows how "credible" ashra kwesi is...

Does the DVD have a name? One of these?

The Exodus from Egypt and the conquest do not match up with archeology. Read The Bible Unearthed (or via: amazon.co.uk)

There is a whole "Afrocentric" movement, which aims to shore up the self esteem of Africans and African Americans by claiming that everything in western civilization came from Africa, including Christianity and Judaism.

The credibility of this whole area is low, although many scholars acknowledge that there have been some ideological problems in past scholarship. See Heresy in the University: The Black Athena Controversy and the Responsibilities of American Intellectuals (or via: amazon.co.uk)

That's a good observation. Ashra Kwesi appears to be a motivational speaker, not a scholar.

Adam and Ever are mythology and the Exodus never happened. What did he say about them?
