What do you mean by "meaningless"? Arbitrary meanings play a factor? Purposes that I arbitrarily create count?

Should the Bible be used to "deconvert" Christians?

Answer: No, because it would never work.

Have you not read the scriptures?

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

What makes you so sure that it worked?

Should the Bible be used to deconvert Christians?
No. 'Deconverting' christians is the prime aim of the devil.

Reading the Bible for many helps to confirm the disbelief that they already have.

Consider the following... http://www.gospeloutreach.net/persev...he_saints.html

Luther's sermon pertaining to the Wheat and the Tares also provides a better perspective regarding "deconversion"... http://www.ccel.org/ccel/luther/serm...age.html?bcb=0

Not even the devil can "deconvert" Christians.

Have you not read the scriptures?

(NASB) Romans 8:38 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

David, you don't seem to have grasped the fact that the scriptures are bunk.

Sure, the scriptures say that the scriptures can't be used to deconvert Christians: but that's just one more thing that the scriptures are wrong about.

Why are you quoting them here as if they were authoritative?
