God hated
Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I'm trying to find some verses. I could have sworn that somewhere in the Bible, there is a verse that says "God hated". I thought it was God hated Esau...but now I can't find it. Did I imagine it? I'm in a series of e-mails with one of my sisters about "God's love". And I'm trying to demonstrate through scripture that god ain't so loving. Any help would be appreciated. |

The scriptures about Esau being hated are Mal. 1:3, quoted by Paul in Rom. 9:13. You might also check out Ps. 5:5, 26:5, 31:6, 119:113, 139:21-22. It's mainly an Old Testament phenomena, the only occurrence of the idea in the New Testament is when Paul quotes the Old Testament in Rom. 9:13.
