Is Jesus still a human?
according the the Bible?
Jesus came back to the disciples and showed off his half healed wounds. Did he shed this body when he went to heaven or is he still "100% man" as well as "100% God" (which makes no damns sense) according to Biblical theism? There is also the matter of the perfected heavinly bodies given to Christians after the end secnario plays out. According to Paul Christians mortal body will be "clothed" with immortality -- will be changed from perishable to imperishable (1 Cor. 15:35-53). The old body will rise and will be given new characteristics. I had never really thought even during my days as a Christian that according to the Bible Jesus is still human -- he still has his human body though perfected. No? |

One of the gospels describes him as appearing and disappearing, which you and I cannot do. I can't remember off-hand if it is the same one or another that describes him eating with the disciples. (All post-resurrection.)

Definitely not according to the NT! Walk thru walls, gaping wounds but not bleeding to death, early version of Apollo launch without NASA, this is my body that is broken for you....
I see the human bit as a temporary legalistic theological thingy to solve a religious problem of getting god and man together. Went a bit ott what with all of us being the bride of christ - very unclear about the biology of this mammalian form of single celled creature that is able to join up, and I suppose the off spring must be a bit similar to fungal spores. (Actually I thing xians are most likely to be fungii from the descriptions!) (Oh and he never was - half god half woman is not human!) |

If our sin nature is equal to our human condition it can be said that there is no such a thing as a human body. |

On a side note, Jesus shedding his body is the reason why the Jews began shedding their foreskins millenia before in preparation.
no, it isn't. |

The shedding of blood and water is to empty the thirst we have as human in the cavity of our chest where we are inflated by our second human nature. |
