I think that if I, or anyone, was to write "So-and-so, I hate you" on IIDB it would probably be actionable by the mods and admins. The hate isn't against people, it's against intellectual dishonesty, for very good reasons that aren't rebutted.

I agree 102%. In just about any endeavor (i.e. business or education), when the initial effort has been a total shipwreck, the worst thing to do would be "Let's try that again, immediately, with pretty much the same strategy." The best thing to do would be first to examine the criticism, figure out why so many people reacted the same way, examine the original objectives, and come up with a better alternative strategy. This is extremely difficult for the typical Christian apologist to pull off, and Bible John has effectively admitted as much, because the debate opponents and much of the audience does not share the presupposition of truth of his position. "You're not saved, therefore you can't understand my valid argument (or whatever)" presupposes that the argument is valid. But that's a case of assuming a conclusion, a logical fallacy.

The only problem is that what you recommend Bible John do (take time off to prepare for the next debate) is indirectly the cause of his disastrous showing (taking time off DURING the debate to screw around with video games, movies, and friends).

No. Why should I? In three rounds, you were late three times. As best I can tell, your (two) posts were written at the last minute. The last minute of a two week period is no longer than the last minute of a one week period.




My eyes and ears work just fine. That's why I believe that the reality does not match your claims. Go ahead and get right back in another debate if you really want to. I suspect that the same factors that caused you to abandon this debate will cause you to abandon the next. So, I really think you should take a break for at least a few months, follow other debates, contribute to the peanut gallery and seriously contemplate whether or not you're ready for another try. But, if you insist on trying to prove me wrong, I can't stop you (and wouldn't if I could). Good luck.

I am sorry that some of you are complete hermits, but most people over a thanksgiving Holiday will be taking the time out for family and friends.

Yes I admitted I did not calculate the amount of time needed given my circumstances at the moment, but my rebutt will be posted by Tuesday. I suspect everyone here to disagree with me, and I expect you to attack me like you did Jason.

It might occur to you that some people do not live in the US, so do not celebrate thanksgiving (With the exception of US stations elsewhere... like in Antarctica.)
Can you just simply request an extension from the moderator, and say no more about it?
Also, nice name flinging. Calling everyone hermits, assuming they all hate you... but please, sweeping generalisations are good, really. This place looks like it could do with a tidy up.
