read Jubilees - you can find it on the Internet - Jubilees is traced back to at least 100 b.c.e.

Jubilees is apocryphal, though, and not canonical in certain (non-Catholic/Protestant) denominations. So just add a few more grains of salt to your reading!
The various answers I've seen to the question of Cains wife in the land of Nod are: 1) she was from the 'other tribes' that God created (uncredited) 2) she was one of Eve's daughters and the chronology/phylogeny given in the early chapters of Genesis are simply out of step 3) She was a caveman (seriously!) 4) She was one of the 'sons of God' (another mysterious race of people) 5) She is related to Lilith (who, in some form of Judaic mysticism, was Adam's first wife. Lilith refused to be subjugated to Adam and was cursed to give birth to all the demons of the world) I'm not certain any of these 'answer' the question (except possibly number two), since they all seem to indicate God creating past day 6. Lilith, I'm sure you are aware, has all but been excised entirely from orthodox Judeo-Christian mythology. |

I've always that it was pretty apparent that two or more entirely different stories got combined into one at some time, and no one bothered to check for inconsistencies. I doubt that Cain and Abel were originally the sons of Adam and Eve.

What you're trying to say, I guess, is that incest wasn't considered *wrong* at the "start of creation". Which simply means that you're a moral relativist. In your worldview, there is no absolute code of right and wrong. And your God apparently changes his mind, too. |

Magus, that's nothing but a pile of ad hoc rationalization, with no actual support. What is your evidence that the gene pool was "more pure" then? None at all. It's an ad hoc attempt to patch up your story.
And you seriously think that marrying your sister is OK, if there is no plan to have kids? Or if the genetic problem weren't there? Man, that is just sick. |
