Theodosian Code, book 16, arranged chronologically.

Below is a reorganization of Book 16 of the Codex Theodosius, organized chronologically. Intermixed are the Sirmondian Constitutions, which are essentially summaries or restatements of some of the laws already found in the Theodosian Code. The dates given for the Constitutions are in italics to set them apart. At the end of this document is Valentinian Novel 35, of which only regulations pertaining to religion are given. In cases where a law was posted on a day other than when it was written, the date posted is given.
