That link will take you directly to the results of a search of the NT for the word "fornication". |

No, you misunderstood me. I would like to know where cohabitation is considered the same as fornication. I understand fornication is a sin.
Where is it defined that cohabitation the same as fornication? All definitions I've seen are along these lines: Fornication refers disapprovingly to any sexual activity outside of the confines of marriage, including pre-marital sex and adultery. Why is cohabitation considered sexual activity? And I'm sorry if I am coming off as naive but I am just trying to learn... Thanks, Zach |

I guess you hoodwinked us all there. Being men and all, we thought if you were going to live with someone of the opposite sex that sex itself would indeed be part of the equation.
I don't think the Catholic parents are as concerned with cohabitation as they are you screwing their daughter with your godless … well, nevermind. |

I understand that she wants to wait until marriage and I am happy that she is making that decision. However, I am unable to see the sinfullness in cohabiting with a member of the opposite sex without the act of sex being involved... |

I started a thread about shacking up months ago, and I got some very insightfull responses. I was in a similar situation, but it wasn't with my girlfriends parents it was her grandparents causing the trouble. All I can say is if she is no longer dependent on them, which probably isn't the case since its only your second year in college, the it doesn't matter what her parents think.

No, it does matter. If Zach ends up being with this girl for the rest of his life, then he's going to have to learn to play ball with the in-laws. Starting out with "it doesn't matter what her parents think" will go over real well. Great advice, pal.
