True. Sin coupled with non-acceptance of Jesus Christ is what lands us in hell.

==============================================
Saved sinners should do their time in purgatory where they work out their own salvation [in fear and trembling!] and after this they will rise and enter heaven. Purgatory is to last about 42 months or about 1211 days (it's in the bible someplace).

No Amos, the concept of Purgatory is not in the Bible.

Please quote chapter and verse.
Hi Brian,

The Gospels take place in what the Catholic Church calls Purgatory. After all, if we are to follow the footsteps of Jesus and drink from the cup he drank we must live our own gospel to do this. You may not recognize this but that only means that you don't know what you are doing.

If you go to Rev.13 you will find that the first beast spend 42 months in purgatory to become one of Gods holy people while the second beast will be tormented by the unresolved saved sinner complex for life. To identify this beast its typical behavior is explained in chapter 14: 6-12 with the three angels that soar through midheaven (midheaven equals purgatory). The first angel tells us how this beast will try to convert others to follow God because judgement is at hand. The second angel will say that the Catholic church is the whore of Babylon and the third angel will warn others against the mark of the beast.
