Default Old Testament quotes in the NT....

This wikipedia article is a good start:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotati..._New_Testament

But I'd like to know if there is any site that has the NT highlighted with the references to source texts, etc.

I think that this would be VERY interesting, BTW, if such a text does not exist.

What would be great is to at least do the gospels, starting with Mark. Cite each reference to other texts, then go to Matthew and cite the references to Mark and to other texts, and then do the same wiht Luke and John.

Does this already exist?

If you look at many versions of the Bible (check out www.biblegateway.com or a hardcopy version) you may notice that there are footnotes in the NT referencing verses in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Biblegateway only lists the overt references, where is says something like, "And Jesus said: 'It is written, 'Blah, Blah, Blah''".

It doesn't list the places where parts of the NT text are copied from or are very similar to other texts.

My RSV has footnotes crammed into the bottom of the page that show many Tanakh references.
As I started reading around this topic I neatly added some to the bottom of those pages but gave it up cos I soon ran out of space.
You would probably have to collect them bit by bit.
For example Vork's site would be a good place to get the references in "Mark".

All I know is that there are lots and lots, some obvious some less so.
JakeJones1V seems to know quite a few.
If you do find a good source link it here OK?
cheers

Hi Malachi, the richest source of verse-by-verse referencing is probably still the commentary of John Gill, which is on the web in a couple of places, including http://eword.gospelcom.net//comments/gill/new.htm . Gill also helps with lots of referencing of various other Hebrew commentary and writings, including Targumim, Talmud, Ibn Ezra, Rashi and Kimchi. (Rashi he has as Jarchi.) Of course your project may be most interested in the direct Tanach references and allusions, that is always there. The fellow was truly incredible in his scholarship, and I think that was even before the days of the C-64.
