If he returned, then why are Christians waiting for his SECOND coming? Why don't they call it the "third coming" instead?

Although this has been argued so many times most people just don't see the point in explaining this to Half-Thought. I wager more cheap--and possibly minutely sadistic--laughs will be derived from this thread than anything Liars sit in chairs, truth tellers hunker down eh, Half-Life? |

I see no reason for this to be in BCH.
Bye bye. |

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy mentions pubs. Pubs really exist. Therefore HHGG must be true. HHGG mentions Vogons. Therefore, Vogons exist. Therefore the answer to life the universe and everything is 42.

(makes a series of pencil marks on an envelope) Já, I can confirm that the number 42 exists.
I've also heard my fair share of bad poetry, so the existence of Vogons is at least plausible. Talking snakes, chatty burning bushes and people rising from the dead are somewhat less common in this locale. Overall, I think HHGTTG is a much more reliable guide to Life, the Universe and Everything. |

Except he does not say that anywhere. He says that a lot of awful things are gonna happen, among them the return of the Son of Man in the Clouds, whoever he is supposed to be. But before that it will rain with stars, false Christs will rise and Christianity will be preached to the entire world, Jerusalem will be under siege etc.. Did those things happen in a few days? Especially the stars falling down part, although there are very good reasons why we would not expect any independent written corroboration for it.

Wow ... Half-Life. Welcome back. I was wondering what happened to you, haven't seen you around here in many months.
I was kind of hoping you'd deconverted by now, you seemed like you were coming close last year. Anyway, welcome back. I found your threads almost always entertaining. |

Man, how come Christians can't read their Bibles?
