Yes, that's undoubtedly true, but we were discussing whether YHWH would be forgotten, not what would happen if he were.

Christianity will be dead in less than 1000 years from now. Why? Because everyone will already have had biochips in their skin for centuries, and no antichrist. People will begin to figure things out.

...am I being too optimistic?

No, just a bit silly. The vast majority of Christians see no connection between "biochips" and anything in the Bible, and conspiracy theorists will never go away anyway.

Actually many Christians that I have associated with all my life do see a connection. Biochip = end of times = antichrist = rapture. All Baptists and most other fundie faiths believe this way. I'd say that even some Lutherans and Anglicans think this.

No offense, but... That you have seen many Christians who believe that does not mean it's universal. Not "all Baptists" believe that way. Many millions of Baptists consider it a sign of the lunatic fringe and politely ignore it.

Conspiracy theorists remain a minority.

The next step in the demise of christianity will come by being fully absorbed into 'new age' philosophy.

Along the current new age line of -"Christ is not a person but a principle, a consciousness."

Far from a demise, that is actually a compliment to Christ and to Christianity.

You show, in spite of yourself, the never-ending ability of Jesus to attract.

You're dead wrong on that one. Trust me.

Actually, I'd agree with seebs. Unless aeroz19 can actually provide something more than "trust me" as evidence.

In Aeroz's defense, I've heard the "biochips = mark of the beast" meme being repeated by all sorts of Christians from all sorts of denominations. It's an extremely common opinion.
