Hi Paul2,

Yet look at the bat one. Really the claim of an error here is simply silly and shows a type of desperation in even being raised. Only if one comes with a particular modern mindset that a mammal is not a flying kind because it is a different type of flying animal than a bird would one even raise the issue. It simply makes no sense.

The rabbit issue is more nuanced, so it is reasonable to raise, although again the response seems to be very sensible.

Shalom,
Steven Avery

The state used its book to intimidate and manipulate those under it control. One is part and parcel of the other. One was the theory and the other was the practice.

...ok, maybe until they're old enough for porn.
Why would anyone consume such evil nonsense as found in the bible? What useful purpose could it serve?

Just my POV… A collection of writings that attempt to explain the world around humanity; a collection of poetry, love, and philosophy; a collection of pseudo history and some modestly real history to varying degrees; a collection of fairy tales from their ancient past that evolved with the community; a collection of visionaries attempting to explain their visions of a god, some maybe cynically, some delusional, some remade after their life by other visionaries.

Oh, I was a Christian for about 20 years.

Then you gave it up for Lent.

What's your point? Do you contend that the Roman Church used an innocuous book to rule with an iron fist for hundreds of years? The book was employed by rulers to give authority to their rule. The bible teaches obedience to its masters and humility as well as irrationality (render unto Caesar...) As far as the Beatles go, contemplate the words of John Lennon in the song "Imagine."
