It is good that you are endeavoring to get a fuller understanding of the text, however using a Strong's Concordance to re-'translate' and re-interpret entire verses goes well beyond the usage that is intended for a concordance.

One particular problem being that Strong's often supplies a root word that is not indicated nor actually to be found within the verse under consideration.
For example you gave "Let there be - Hebrew word-->hava-come to pass; root avah-desire",
problem is, neither the word "hava" nor the word "avah" is at all present or indicated in this verse in the Hebrew text, the word under consideration is spelled 'yod-hey-yod', far different in both spelling and meaning from 'hava' [hey-wah-hey] or 'avah'.

I recommend obtaining a Interlinear Hebrew-English Bible and spending the time it takes to learn to read from, and to recite aloud from the Hebrew text.
I personally undertook this some 25 years ago, and have read every word of the Torah in Hebrew, and am able to both recite, and to write in Hebrew many verses from memory.
No short message here could even begin to express how much my horizons were expanded.

There are major problems when translating between languages with very different structures.

In 2000, when I still was a Christian (more or less), I was shocked and angered by the new Swedish translation "Bibel 2000". They no longer had "the Spirit of God" moving in Gen 1;2, but rather "a god's wind".

Now, I think that it means more of "By God, the way the wind was blowing!"
