Database of authors (and their respective writings) of antiquity (0-300 CE)
I would like to be able to think that there must already exist a simple database which contains the following authors of antiquity, and against each author a record of all maunuscripts, books, writings, works, etc that each author has purportedly created.
While I am happy to slog through the long way around, before commencing this project I'd like to know if there are already out there somewhere a database of this information including dates, etc. that might be available to a casual student. Can anyone point me to existent database resources on the following authors and their corresponding writings from antiquity, hopefully with dates of birth and death where known for the author, and approximate dates of the works of literature. Here is the framework of authors born in the first three centuries that I am considering in this project. Thanks for any information in this project. You might want to take a look at this. It's pretty neat stuff. Note that Peter Kirby's database link does not work when downloaded so it is quite limited what can be done with it. But the database does exist.
