there is no mystery at all surrounding noahs mythology
It was born from Ziusudras legend, a real king, and a real local flood when the Euphrates overflowed in 2900BC that grew from a river flood to a sea deluge in mesopotamian history before the Israelites used that foundation for their myth |

How does a treatise on a mythical character building a mythical boat to survive a mythical flood inflicted by a mythical angry god belong in Science Discussions?

A movie based on Science would be very interesting to me. Showing how all the events could be made or done with science would be fantastic. Lawrence Krauss would be the scientist to help with such a great project.

the real story is pretty good though told through mythology and pieced togetehr with the sumerian Kings list. Ziusudra after a 6 day thunderstorm could not escape the rising water as the banks overflowed, he loaded what livestock, grain, beer ect ect on a barge and went down the flooded river where he eneded up landing next to a hill, and preformed a animal sacrifice. the flood was attested by modern archeology and dated at 2900 BC. Ziusudra was on a kings list at that time. And of course the Sumerian mythology a few hundred years later. |
