An historical question
Much is made by Christians about the prophecy that Israel would disappear but become a nation again someday. I wish I had the verse with me, but I don't. I was reading this god awful END OF TIMES book/pamphlet last night and it referred to this prediction more than once (much more than once).
So in my laziness, rather than getting out a Bible and looking it up myself, is there anything to this prophecy? I suspect that the prediction was made with a then current event in mind or that it's been twisted to fit the facts. Any clarity would help. Thanks. P.S. The "book" also says that what happened with Israel, a nation disappearing but then coming back into existence has never happened. I find this difficult to believe and post WW2 Germany comes to mind. But any other examples would be helpful. Again, thanks. |
