Default Maybe the Jews got it right

Now of course I don't believe that the Jews got it right, but some Jews might like my "for the sake of argument" approach. If the Old Testament is true, why should anyone rule out reasonable possibilities that either the Jesus of the New Testament was a supernatural imposter, or an alien imposter. Paul says that Satan has transformed himself in an angel of light, so from a Christian perspective, powerful and deceptive supernatural beings exist, and have already deceived lots of people with God's permission.

And perhaps that same imposter have destroyed all the original NT documents written by God and His Son. Any one with basic reading skills knows that the Bible we now have could not be from a God.

Of course, but what about the originals? I have never read ANY decent arguments from Christians regarding how the New Testament canon was formed. A Christian named Praxeus once said at this forum that Peter considered some writings to be authoritative, but so what? Peter was a mere fallible mortal. As Farrell Till has said, even if the copies are 100% accurate, that is not reasonable proof that the originals were accurate.

Since God has allowed hundreds of millions of people to die without having heard the Gospel message, why would he have been in the least bit concerned with accurate originals or accurate copies? Surely an accurate original or an accurate copy is no better than no Bible at all as far as those people were concerned.
