The whole of that dreary and illiterate Left Behind (tm) stuff is predicated on the idea that people can redeem themselves after the Rapture (tm). As far as I can determine the 'theologians' who wrote that garbage are committed to the idea that those left behind can atone.

If the Rapture came about, I too, Left Behind, would probably reconsider my position and who knows what might happen then...

Real christians (members of the Church of England) to which I nominally belonged when I was very young, do not believe in the rapture. The rapture is believed in only by desperate, ignorant, quasi-christian sects in America.
