SBL 2006 (Nov. 18-21, 2006)
This upcoming weekend is the Annual Meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature in Washington, DC. If there are any IIDBers attending, I would love to meet you.
A good time and place to get together is at the e-lister's brown bag lunch on Sunday, Nov. 19th from 11:45 to 12:45. (You may have to miss church for this ) Or you can chat me up after one of my papers: (1) "Luke's Panel Technique for his 'Orderly' Narration": S18-24 Sat. 9:00am Synoptics Gospels Section (2) "The Nineteenth-Century Exemplar of 'Archaic Mark' (MS 2427)": S21-18 Tue. 9:00am NT Textual Criticism Section Stephen |

Hopefully..... yes. A paper for the Luke panel piece and a power-point for the 2427 piece.
Right now, both are being "finished off." |

I'd love to go, but I"m getting drunk with one of my own research informants this weekend. Alcohol, the lubricant of research. Steve, I hope you'll let us know when your papers go online. I'd especially love to see that one on Mark, of course.

I will be there, of course, and look forward to meeting Jeffrey (I have already met Stephen since he is a local ). Unfortunately, I will miss both of Stephen's presentations since he somehow contrived to get himself scheduled right on top of Textual Criticism sessions. I believe the same is true for Jeffrey's presentation, although I would have to go and get my notes to verify this, a task far beyond my capabilities at this hour.
I swear, it's not personal that I am missing hearing the only two guys who post here, but TC and Computer-related topics are what I am most interested in. I am certain, however, that both will do a most excellent job. I will try to make the e-listers thing and watch for you guys. See you in a few days. Julian |

Quick question: why do they say 18-21 when there is stuff going on both Thursday and Friday (the 16th and 17th)?
Anyways, I will be going to the Friday event S17-52 The Freer Biblical Manuscripts at noon. Julian |

Hey guys, see you at the Party (said like Arnold Schwarzanegger in Total Recall as he held the arms of his Enemy which had just been ripped off as he went up the elevator). I'll be at the Counter-missionary booth next to Pete Brown's Eusebius Invented Christianity Booth. Joseph CLERGYMAN, n. A man who undertakes the management of our spiritual affairs as a method of bettering his temporal ones. http://www.errancywiki.com/index.php/Main_Page |

But I'm bummed about the conflict that means I'm missing the other one. |
