He screwed with the religious power elite and got crucified for it.

The reason us religious antagonists exist today is COTUS so far unassailable by the Christian religious extremists..

It does seem a little unbelievable that any Romans would have listened to an unruley crowd. Pilate is somehow some pathetic nancy boy who can't enforce the law. A roman Pontius who has to be told by a bunch of peasants how to do his job.

I recently had a vision that made it hard to believe the Romans would give a flip about a guy that had twelve disciples and an unaccounted for number of "followers".

He died at roman hands, the jews had little to do with it. Remember all the gospels we have were written for a roman audience, and then roman approved. So we have versions left that show the jews as the villians.

Fact is jesus, died over money and taxes. All the jews were ticked off at the roman corruption in the temple and over taxation of romans.

during jesus childhood there was a tax war in which 3000 Galilean jews were killed and 6000 sent to slavery, this probably would have included some of jesus family members. Also note that a short 30 years after jesus the temple fell due to a tax war.

jesus was tried for tax evasion, and perverting the nation. Perverting part has to do with him preaching to the tax collectors to quit raping the jews. He got ole Zach to give back much of his take and had Matthew under his thumb and is noted as to preaching to all the tax collectors.

jesus had a tax war as a child
jesus had no money and was a poor peasant who avoided taxes
jesus was questioned about taxes a few days before his death, he didnt pay.
jesus tips over money tables in the temple which was the bank of the time and a few days later is dead.

the trial is bogus, Pilate and Caiaphas would have had no time for a poor peasant trouble maker during this huge payday for the temple. We dont know if he was ever tried.

trying to insight a riot on this huge payday is all it would take to get the romans to kill you. Tensions were high and the people so displeased, a rebellion could have gone off like a match that weekend. Pilate and Caiaphas would have been worried about this. Its why they went under the cover of darkness to arrest jesus

Pilate was a brutal man with more then a iron fist.

hell he was fired by the romans for being to brutal

the crowd is all fiction. remember that all his followers bailed the city when jesus was arrested as they feared for their own lives.

we are now getting all thi sinfo from oral tradition by people who were never there or seen or heard a thing and had decades for this story to fester under a roman version of jesus we are left with

According to Tertullian, Pilate filed a report to his Emperor Tiberius, and therefore to the senate.
The emperor Tiberius himself, in his secret heart, was already a Christian' (Apol. 21, 24)

threatening wrath against all accusers of the Christians.

Surely we can certainly believe Tertullian's apology?

Some of the things we do know are that crucifixion was used only by the romans, and used only for slaves and for crimes against the Roman state. The Romans did not execute people for religious crimes, and did not give a rat's ass about Jewish charges of "blasphemy.

If Jesus was crucified, it was for a crime (or perceived crime) against the Roman state, not a religious crime. The Gospels say it was because he claimed to be the "King of the Jews" (which is obviously seditious because Caesar was the King of the Jews).

Stirring up shit at the Temple during Passover would be sufficient to get somebody rounded up and crucified all by itself.

Again, you are INVENTING your own story. We have the Jesus story and can see that your claim is blatantly erroneous.

Pilate found NO Fault with Jesus in the Gospels.

Why are you constanrly attempting to change the story??

Please, in the Gospels, Jesus was NOT arrested because of the Temple incident.

Even in gJohn, the Temple incident supposedly happened at least ONE year before the crucifixion.

And again, why do you discredit the Gospel authors and use your imagination as a history book???

The Gospels aren't consistent enough. Nor does the situation make much sense at all.

Could you imagine the gestures the Catholics would have to make if he died by some other means?
