I have seen a local butcher selling "box".

It was a sort of pink rubbery stuff.

I have never worked out what it was - I think it might be a cow's udder, but I'm not sure...

Are you sure it's not cow's genitalia? Just wondering

I bought a heart from a supermarket once to dissect for biology class. Apparently, they all sell these things but you have to ask for them..

Sheep and goat offal mixed with oatmeal and wrapped in a sheep's stomach.

Tastes as good as it sounds - but then I've never considered the sounds of the english language to be tasty or yucky either way,

Moosie, how can you been so mean to the poor gerbiils? Have you ever seen a cuter pet? They don't smell, bite or anything, love human company, get on with each other and are very playful.

Maybe you just got a shitty family? You didn't buy them from Europe, did you?

That's a delicious fricassée de lapin aux champignons i.e. roasted rabbit meat with mushrooms.

Odd is it not

I've seen it sold in bars and on street corners.

Alas no, but I'd like to, culinary anomalies notwithstanding

So tell me, DO frogs legs taste just like chicken??

It's been quite a while since I had frogs' legs. IIRC the taste is close to chicken but I don't think you'd mistake it for chicken though. Likewise, ostrich meat tastes a little like beef but you wouldn't confuse the two either.

Would you be ready to try rabbit meat, horse meat, frogs' legs or snails if you come to France?

BTW, we have Scottish and Irish restaurants in France but I've never seen an English restaurant. I wonder why... :Cheeky:
