Default Leaders and followers

I have a simple question. If being Christian means to be like Christ, and Christ was a leader, how can one assume the role of leader and follower in the same instant. How can you be like a leader if you refuse to be a leader. If a person chooses to live their life unguided by somebody else, I would consider them a leader. A person can be a leader without followers. Also, I have no problem with a person deciding that they don't have the moral or ethical fortitude to lead their own life. I also have no problem with people who live their lives by deductive logic instead of inductive logic. I just fail to see how somebody can follow a person, living or otherwise, that characteristically whouldn't follow themself.

I don't see any Biblical Criticism or History here.

In addition, I don't think you can define "Christian" solely as being "like Christ," especially if the only characteristic you see in Christ is leadership, which you define as living a life unguided by someone else. And you can be both a leader and a follower - you can be the middle management of the movement, which is how I suspect most Christian leaders see themselves. That is, if they don't see themselves as sheep.
