I don't think there will be a problem as the majority of either forum has little desire to participate in discussions on the level of the other forum.

We would close a topic down if the purpose of the topic was to instigate what amounted to a troll attack on another board. So far I don't believe that this topic comes anywhere close to that. It's pretty much like other topics about the goings-on at other boards - for example CF or any of the creationist boards that people where may participate on.

I kind of regret being a jerk when I went over to free conservatives but being that mods over there routinely call users 'asswipes' and 'douchebags' my behavior was rather tame in comparision. I only compared Jerry Falwell to the Taliban and ridiculed the incest of Lot in the bible. (Gay sex = Bad, Girls getting their Dad drunk so they can get pregnant = Good)

What most bugged me was the bigotry towards gays. Now I can understand someone who doesnt' think that gays should be allowed to get married or adopt. Reasonable people may disagree but when you start calling people fags and queers and base your reasons on scripture when there is much of scripture that you plainly reject (Love your Neighbor, No divorce) there is a huge disconnect.

If I post again there I will not respond to the hatefilled comments in anger.

The threads remind me of Nazi propaganda in a way. Villify and dehumanize the oppostion, so when it finally comes time to do something really serious about controlling them, you don't feel bad about sending them to their death. Who cares if they're being killed and tortured, they're not human after all.

Anyhow, my time over there is finished. I was going to respond in an evolution thread where a bunch of them are insulting Bob Arctor, but it's just not worth the grief and overt insults. :angry:

If the admin I spoke with reads this, fine. I don't hold any ill will towards him, he was perfectly decent to me. The rest of the posters on that forum, however...well, i'll just leave them to lead the rest of their lives in insular comfort.

Venting frustrations with the world...that's one thing. Outright hate and contempt? That's a whole new ballgame.
