ISVfan, I'm guessing you are about 16 years old and are regurgitating some ideas you've heard that don't have any bearing on what it is you're arguing against. If you feel the spiritual need to prove something wrong to make yourself happy, it behooves you to educate yourself.

Not that age itself necessarily matters but it's pretty clear you don't have a clue and it'd be nice if that was due to you being young and not old with willful ignorance.

You're showing your ignorance again....

* the earth is not a closed system; sunlight (with low entropy) shines on it and heat (with higher entropy) radiates off. This flow of energy, and the change in entropy that accompanies it, can and will power local decreases in entropy on earth.
* entropy is not the same as disorder. Sometimes the two correspond, but sometimes order increases as entropy increases. (Aranda-Espinoza et al. 1999; Kestenbaum 1998) Entropy can even be used to produce order, such as in the sorting of molecules by size (Han and Craighead 2000).
* even in a closed system, pockets of lower entropy can form if they are offset by increased entropy elsewhere in the system.

In short, order from disorder happens on earth all the time.

# The only processes necessary for evolution to occur are reproduction, heritable variation, and selection. All of these are seen to happen all the time, so, obviously, no physical laws are preventing them. In fact, connections between evolution and entropy have been studied in depth, and never to the detriment of evolution (Demetrius 2000).

Several scientists have proposed that evolution and the origin of life is driven by entropy (McShea 1998). Some see the information content of organisms subject to diversification according to the second law (Brooks and Wiley 1988), so organisms diversify to fill empty niches much as a gas expands to fill an empty container. Others propose that highly ordered complex systems emerge and evolve to dissipate energy (and increase overall entropy) more efficiently (Schneider and Kay 1994).

# Creationists themselves admit that increasing order is possible. They introduce fictional exceptions to the law to account for it.

# Creationists themselves make claims that directly contradict their claims about the second law of thermodynamics, such as hydrological sorting of fossils during the Flood.

(Mountain Man's response was clearer (and first))

If you looked out into the night sky and saw a shower of sparks falling to the ground, you could deduce that previously a firework rocket had been launched. You do not need to have observed the launch or heard the gunpowder burn, but you can work out much from the trajectory, perhaps even the launch site. It's the same with astronomy, a great deal can be deduced from studying the radiation from stars. So you don't need to re-create the big bang to know that it happened. You certainly can't do this with the Bible as there is no physical evidence for the biblical creation.

ISVfan: Stop with the rapid fire assertions.

You keep asserting things, people refute them, then you move onto the next assertion.

Pick one, or a couple, and stick with them.

Cool Flatly False

Are you really that horribly ignorant of what the bible says?

The Bible clearly identifies flowering plants as being created the day before the sun and the moon and the stars.

Science tells us that the earth and the sun are both about 4.5 Billion years old, stars are generally older, and the earliest flowering plants are around 130 Million years old.

Clearly, the Bible is making a statement that science considers utterly wrong, and therefore your statement is flatly false.

Also the 2nd law of Dynamics contradicts evolution because it states "every system left to itself will tend toward a condition of minimum postential energy and maximum entropy" The total amount of energy is the same on the earth 1st law but the second states that everything is wearing down things aren't getting better their heading towards entropy or disorder.
Are you in middle school? The earth isn't a closed system. That's why single cells can grow into babies. They increase in complexity. You clearly have no idea what the second law says and we had to spend days refuting this before to someone like you named bluecross...Please go read something scientific. These assertions are ridiculous. Yu're repeating things you've heard on the internet or from apologetics. If you went and researched them, you wouldn't make such statments.

Wow, you have no idea about how science actually works. HINT. You DON'T have to do it in a lab. You can test things without one.

These accusations are infantile.

Cool Stupid Claims

Bullshit. Are you claiming that Astronomy is not science? Nobody has reproduced Martian geology in the lab, nor a comet, nor the gravitational collapse of a nebula, nor the spiral motion of a Galaxy. But all of these things are clearly understood using the tools of science.

Forgive me if I choose to believe an omnipotent God created the earth in 6 days rather than believing that a bunch of stuff was foating around in space and one day somthing clicked and bang the next thing we know there's the sun and wow the earth is in just the right spot. and then somehow there was a cesspool and lighting came down and struck it and there was this little thingy that crawled out and now billions and billions of years later here we are. That's not science.
