How is that supposed to be the case, mountainman?
The sun provides a continous stream of energy which enables
plants to grow and the water cycle to exist. Without the growth
of plants and the supply of water, all life on the planet would
perish. This is just common sense Ipetrich, but is dealt with
under Ecosystemic and Environmental sciences.

Furthermore, the Sun was only one of several gods worshipped by ancient Egyptians.
The Sun has its attendant planets, but the sun is central.
Monotheism does not negate government and other sub-gods
such as supposed in an imperial empire where all officials report
to the god of gods, or the bishop of bishops, king of kings, etc.

The lineage between the inscriptions on the obelisk of Karnack
listed above, such as:
WEST SIDE, SECOND LINE

21. "The Sun, great God, Lord of Heaven;
I have granted to thee life hitherto unforseen.
Apollo the mighty, Lord incomparable of the Diadem,
who hath set up statues of the Gods in this kingdom,
ruler of Egypt, and he ardorned Heliopolis just as
he did the Sun himself, Ruler of Heaven; he finished
a good work, child of the Sun, the king ever-living."
are quite typically continued from 1500 BCE in Egypt down
through the Greek empire and then to the Roman empire
at which time Constantine pulled the obelisk off its foundations.

But the same philosophical monotheism is still expressed
by the Emperor Julian 362 CE, in regard to his "Oration to
the Soveign Sun". Have you read this?
