I bet the wedding story in John 2:1-11 was originally about Jesus; Jesus was the bridegroom. The whole episode originally came after 4:42.
It was a double entendre. At face value it was about a physical wedding between Jesus and the Samaritan woman, but it had a deeper symbolic meaning based on the spiritual wedding in Revelation 19:6. |
