Where are you getting this? Jews were only finally forced to elimate slavery at the same time Christians were, and for the same reasons - through the military action of the Union Army and the Emancipation Proclamation of President Lincoln.
I was speaking of days when the church first came into power. The Christians viewed Jews as using Gentiles, a "usery" form of making use of Gentiles in slavery. Christians[the church] objected and prohibited Jews from having Gentile slaves. Jews also protested Christians having Jewish slaves, although not much is mentioned about that side of the story.

The South continued a form of slavery even after the Civil War. Without equal rights, one is as a slave. The 60's brought about freedom fighters and eventual equal rights for blacks.
