A fatal knock-out blow to the Second Coming!
Matthew 16:28 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.
Try to re-interpret THAT, biatch! (forgive the profanity). The Second Coming was meant for THEIR time. And guess what? He didn't come. |

its not in context though!
faulty translation! wrong bible, that one is clearly flawed; use mine! Jesus is standing there, he will be alive for the second coming! how do you know they're all dead? i saw a movie once set in the year 2000 where Dracula was Judas! He's talking about a future generation that he just didn't mention! he couldn't have meant that; otherwise it would have happened! ^ some of the "counters" i have seen when using such passages. :P |

especially more so in the formal debate section that you set up and lobbied for; only to end up subjected to 200 word posts and/or ignored. |

It's pointless to debate these things. There's two kinds of Xtians out there: 1) inerrantists and 2) those who admit non-literal interpretations.
Since members of (1) take the literal and complete truth of the Bible as an axiom, you might as well argue with a brick wall. Members of (2), OTOH, will simply interpret away the contradictions and absurdities, so that there's nothing to argue about. Nontrivial debates don't happen in either case. The first one ends in an immediate standoff, and the second comes to a quick and meaningless resolution. |

One of Logic, you really like this endtime prophesy stuff.
Keep reading Matt 17:1-13 "Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves and He was transfigured before them..." It goes on to paint the picture of the disciples witnessing the second coming in the form of a prophetic vision, something like a time warp,... kind of. Those disciples got to see the second coming through a vision. You're truly, "biatch." |

So then I'm going to go to Hell for eternity based on a God's grudge against humanity because of my beliefs? :rolling: :rolling: Your God sent His own Son purposefully to get tortured and killed, to redeem the Sin of humanity. How is that not sick? "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me"... said the one and only God.
