Is this a better source of what the project is about? http://www.conservapedia.com/Conservative_Bible_Project

I don't find that http://www.ihatehobbitskillthefurryl...sdiediedie.com is a reliable source of information on hobbits, for instance. To do otherwise is to invite contempt from the honest, surely?

Bilbo : "My dear Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Gubbs, Chubbs, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles and Proudfoots ! Today is my one hundred and eleventh birthday ! Alas, eleventy one years is much too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable hobbits ! I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve !

The audience is silent while it wonders whether this was a compliment or not.

Bilbo : " I have things to do. I've put this off for far too long. I regret to announce this is the end ! I'm going now. I bid you all a very fond farewell !

Goodbye.

A *much* better source.

The next question is who or what is actually doing this.

Check out the Talk page. The primary name I see on that page teaches economics to home schooled kids.

The people behind this are evidently blasphemers and are not true Christians.

It is not just the ending of Mark, it is the whole book, especially the writings of Paul. Paul is a very violent man, and encourages violence against women.
This is...completely ridiculous and could have only been spoken by someone who just returned from the atheist-feminist annual rally..

Quote:
Now you have asked, why does the end of Mark show Christianity to be a violent boys club..............

To which I will reply:

So that I will know the truth, so that the truth will set me free.

It will be interesting to see if conservative Christians will stick to the original ending of Mark, in that they want to take out other passages that they do not consider original. If they do not take out the latter additions to Mark, it will go to their credibility.
Umm..verses 16:9-20 are not authentic..it won't go to any credibility.

Let me ask you this in regards to the woman caught in adultery; why didn't Jesus ask about the man that she had been allegedly caught in adultery with?
Because he wasn't there, and what use is asking about him?

Quote:
Why didn't the Pharisees bring the man to Jesus to be judged as well?
Because they didn't, ask them.

Quote:
If they caught the woman in the act, as is implied/alleged, where is the man? Was he able to run faster than the woman? If so why didn't the author say so?
Your guess is as good as anyone's. The author didn't say so, because how can you know this when you walk into a crowd who is about to stone someone?

Quote:
If Jesus were a fair man, why didn't he ask about the adultering man?
Because the adultering man wasn't about to be stoned and Jesus' purpose was only to save the woman by exposing the hypocrisy of the crowd who deserved to be stoned themselves but simply hadn't been caught.

Quote:
Does Jesus have exray vision and he saw the man run away, so he didn't bother to ask?
Yes. That must be it.

Quote:
On what evidence did Jesus judge the woman? Does he now trust the Pharisees? Are they now credible? Am I supposed to now trust the Pharisees, etc., as well?
On the fact that it's a sin.

Quote:
How am I to know when I can trust them and when I can't?
If they have xray vision.

Quote:
One minute Jesus hates them, the next they are bosom buddies...........
The Pharisees aren't to be hated at all times; many were Christians even during Jesus' lifetime, but it was mostly their conduct that offended him.

Could this be because Stephen Colbert featured this site on his show and called on Colbert Nation to edit this to insert Colbert into the Bible???

There seems to be just one editor, really, the chap who owns the whole conservapedia project according to the odd weblink.

I am suspicious, tho. This is just too good to be true for all the people commenting on it.
