When are you going to stop putting words in God's mouth?

Life is a test Mark.

If you are not part of the solution to poverty, you are part of the problem.

Look within yourself before you blame Jesus or Christians.

Let's take this step by step Magus. It is clearly too much for you take in at once.

You have to believe that God can and will provide it.

Step 1. None of the passages under discussion state that you have to believe that god can and will provide that which you are asking for. This is something that has been fabricated. It is extra to the text. Geddit?

Step 2. as Step 1.

There is no contradiction here.

Correct. But then again, I didn't say that there was. I simply drew attention to your inconsitencies. You point out that there is NOTHING written about WHEN a request will be granted.

Fair enough, but there is also NOTHING written about HAVING TO BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN AND WILL PROVIDE THAT WHICH YOU ARE ASKING FOR.

So which one is it?

Why don't you just ask for it now? Surely Jesus is capable of a simple task such as this?

In the name of Jesus I ask for world peace now.

There. Easy. Now YOU try it Magus. YOU have a faith, therefore the request will be granted.

That is really irrelevant to me because I am an EX-CHRISTIAN and so are many more on this board probably because they stopped listening to the rich minister and started to read what the bible REALLY SAYS not what they want us to believe without question.

It is not my responsibility to feed the poor,it is Gods, Jesus, and proclaimed christians responsibility to provide for Gods creation because of Jesus statements.

I looked within myself last year and came to the conclusion that the reason my prayers were not answered were because jesus was a liar.It is my duty to proclaim the truth about this full of lies and inconsistant religion to prevent to gullible from false promises.

That is not really irrelevent to you Mark---

Whether you be Christian or Muslim or Hindu or atheist.

Do not blame others for problems when you cannot claim anything positive for yourself.

So? Humans do not have limitless power to prevent suffering and grant wishes. The Xian god supposedly does.

That limitless power may just work through us.

If we sit with our thumbs up our butts and expect God to handle everything, nothing will happen at all.

Christians understand this very well. I don't know why atheists have such a problem with self initiative.

You haven't proven that God exists, let alone has limitless power working through you. I have met so many very nice, helpful people that don't believe in Jesus, let alone aren't saved in the fundamentalist belief of salvation. Atheists aren't expecting God to do it all. They are just challenging you that he doesn't do anything. Prove he does. That is the challenge.

Here is the question ask and you shall receive or do it yourself?

If you ask and shall receive you have to do nothing.

If you do it yourself why do you need a God in the first place?
