Peroxide.

Oh wait, that's the answer to "why are there no dumb brunettes?"

Ah well, same principle.

But IIRC, Jesus was supposed to not just return, but return in a rather triumphant fashion, and then rule over everyone in a thousand-year kingdom 'o God.

As I recall, the Romans continued to rule for another couple centuries, not even bothering to mention Jesus until Constantine 'converted' for political reasons long after the disciples' bones had turned to dust.

A rather underwhelming fulfillment of prophecy, don't you think?

Oh yes, They didn't get any meat for dinner. I love tasting death, every time I eat meat...

You are taking this out of context [as usual]. Read before that verse and chapter about what Jesus is talking about...

clue: taste, what food is Jesus talking about? death, who died right before Jesus spake this verse?

Yes. The stories in the Bible were\are a collection of classics who's true genre has been misplaced.

The writers of the Bibles are amongst themselves okay, but they are in no way as great as Aesop, Jakob and Wilhem Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, or Carlo Collodi.

Now, Jesus said this, he was cricified, died, and rose again and appeared and even went to visit his disciples.

Where's the problem atheists? He RETURNED 3 days later just like he said he would return before the generation passed away.

I challenege any atheist on here to prove me wrong.

I see no inconsistency with Jesus' words and him appearing after he died.
In Acts, "after his suffering," Jesus presents himself to his disciples. He spends 40 days with them, at the end of which "he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of thier sight" (1:9). "Suddenly two men in white robes [asked] 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus . . . will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."

Pretty clear, I think. The return prophesied here cannot be the resurrection, because THAT had already occurred.

You're wrong. QED.

Per your book. He died Friday afternoon. He was raised and returned Sunday Morning. This is clearly not 3 days later.

Proven.
